Description

The British robin is a solitary bird most of the year and will only put up with a partner at nesting time. They will sometimes fight to the death so it is very rare to see three in close proximity and these were 'sparring' up to each other. There was a fourth bird just out of shot on the left. Have a good Sunday. Jeff.

Although North American robins have different coloring, I suspect their behavior is similar. They will come and sit all by themselves on a fence and stare at the backyard...until breakfast or lunch appears, then down they go. A sure sign of spring. Neat shot.
