Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

So nicely captured... you've created a Work of Art from something I would probably not even have noticed! +++++

Cool composition and texture in this one, M! The knots may be there to indicate the depth of water when the rope is lowered into an ocean or lake. Flotsam and Jetsam, noted vaudeville team from the 1920s. And who's Arthur?

What's on the other end, I wonder? Your dreamboat? Great find and capture!

It really pops when you zoom. Then the textures all come out to play. Well seen and captured.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Makes me wonder where the body went? Perhaps I've been watching too much CSI and Law&Order? Love the detailing of the texture of the rope contrasting against the grains of sand. Very "arresting" capture!
