Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This is very nice. I like the variety of textures and the composition - the post and the rusting wire create some interesting lines.

The result of nature in the raw depicted in this fine overhead pic, Marilyn! At this angle, the post can also be used as a sundial.

A wonderful study in textures, and a beautiful composition too. Well done!

There must be a lean on that property. :>) Sweet shot - haven't seen barb wire in many years. Dana

And if you've ever been posted you know how painful that can be! (rim shot) Excellent clarity and lighting, especially in zoom. The textures on the post are fantastic.

Super composition and textures, I agree, it's hard to imagine there once was a pasture here, Mother Nature has a habit of doing that ! Well done & ~Cheers~

In any contest between water and land, water is the inevitable winner. I'm not quite sure why people don't pay more attention to that! Great shot.
