Description
A close-up of a flower that is growing near my house. Each petal is like a small person with arms,legs and a smiley face!
My wife says they look like little devils as they have wings and a tail.
I think it is a type of Orchid, if anyone knows, please let me know.

Yes , it's a orchid (dactylorhiza or orchis but i'm not sure).

It is definitely an odd flower and it does look like a person...perhaps like your wife says.......the devil LOL It is an awesome capture........Love the little shimmering sheen it has on it's petals....it almost glistens...and me thinks the devil doesn't glisten...he sweats...he he... It is nice to meet you as well.....and let me say welcome to Renderosity... I do hope you come visit me in my gallery...I am a flower fanatic I know flowers but this one had me stumped...it's a new one on me..but as usual someone on here always or usually knows what the flower is called and helps us out...even if we are stumped.........LOL So you found out it's not the devil...but in the orchid family..and that's a good thing........I got an orchid off e bay..been babying it to grow for 3 yrs now and still nada....so I am gonna start calling it a devil if it doesn't bloom soon LOL Again.......great capture..........awesome flower..wish you would get another pic of it...and try to get it all in...............
