Brad Pitt and I share the exact same birthday (month, day, year) outside of that, our stories diverge considerably. Mr. Pitt went on to become an internationally famous superstar, while I have led the much more interesting life of the starving artist. I come from a long line of storytellers (whose gift for gab stretches back through the mists of time to our native Ireland) and professional malcontents who were seemingly born to create something in the arts, be it music, writing, sculpture, painting, or photography. I started writing at age 12 with a screenplay with my cousin Ryan about a planet where everyone looked like Elton John entitled "Don't I Know You?" More screenplays followed, several of which received epic Super-8 production with budgets that sometimes ran up to $10. A few even had sound!  More writing followed: songs, poems, short stories, numerous unfinished novels, etc.. Somewhere in there was an attempt at being a rock star...
Still living at home, at age 22, my father dropped an elderly Nikromatt 35-mm film camera into my lap, in the hopes that I would "make a go of it" as a photojournalist. That didn't happen, but I did develop an abiding love of photography that along with writing and archival work have been among the chief passions of my life. When it comes to my photography, I try to be as creative as possible while at the same time striving for a documentary/archival quality. The only set rules I adhere to, when it comes to making pictures are: 1.) Try not to make the picture blurry, and 2.) Don't drop the camera.

Glows in the dark? Glow, little glowworm? I actually thing parrotdolphin's is GREAT!! Nothing like urban life for really fun photography!!

I kinda like "You Glow Girl" as well...and I remember that night. I got a blurry shot of her that I deleted from my camera. I'm glad you got this one, and I love her expression. It's so nice when people actually pose for you, fully aware of what's on their head! This shot rocks and yeah, I look forward to seeing more urban absurdity in your gallery; life is so boring without absurdity, wit, and all of those other good smart things. Hey, with summer somewhat on its way, I'm sure you'll see something worthy of posting here! I'm still trying to talk James into showing up somewhere dressed as a pipsqueak Jedi. Hmmm...that might take some doing, but anyway, there you have it. This is a great, fun shot...a nice anniversary posting!

My first thought was that she had been attacked by a group of Indians from F-Troup. As for the title - I'd go go with one of the 'glow' suggestions. Dana

Marvellous character! You work is always interesting and unusual, Corey, and a pleasure to see. She maybe should never have said 'yes' to brain surgery.

What a great way to start off another year here! I assume those are glow-in-the-dark things, but what's cool about a bigger city is that it's possible the person just wants to be eclectic and strange for the sake of eclectic and strange. Cities let you do that, which may well be their best feature. Great shot, her smile is wonderful.

I love her expression. Silly and proud of it. It must be great to see her in the night, cycling along. I like "You Glow Girl" too. Excellent shot. Great light and reflection. Congrats on 2 years. I always enjoy my visits to your gallery.

It's always a pleasure to visit your gallery and to get a bit of a glimpse into your world. It was more of a pleasure to meet you in person, and I hope to have the opportunity again. It's been a great two years, and I'm looking forward to many more!

"Urban absurdity" - I like that! You could develop a whole gallery of this stuff. I also have to admit to a certain bizarre level of shock - cycles would never be permitted on London Underground!

'We're Not Mental, So Don't Be Afraid' It happens to also be the official motto of my department at work. Or is it, 'let's be wrong together'? I often forget. She seems to be a very gregarious soul, perhaps a - ah hem - Sagittarius. All us archers live life in a different sphere, preferably with plenty of jewel tone colours. And that's colours with a 'U' may I say.
