Some of you know me as 3D newbie chemicalX here, but I decided to focus my gallery on my new passion in life - photography. I've been dabbling around in photography for a few years now and I've fallen head over heels in love with it. My partner, Shane, got me a Canon EOS 20D for my birthday and started me on a path of obsession! A path that I would like to share through this gallery. The chemicalX gallery will stay up to showcase my 3D stuff and if I do ever get back into it, I'll upload those things there, so keep an eye on that too. I appreciate any feedback I get, so if you have any comments or critique (be it good or bad - as long as it's done in a "civilised" way), please do tell me - it's the only way that I'm going to get better at this. Also, eventhough I don't say thank you to everyone on an individual basis, I do appreciate all the feedback and comments you guys give me. Unfortunately 'rosity makes it quite a mission to say "thanks" to a comment. So just because I don't thank everyone individually, doesn't mean that I am not grateful for all the feedback. Thank you to all of you. If you would like to see more of my stuff, you can check out my gallery on dA. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my gallery. Take care, Yak

I gotta say I love this. The face seems blown out a tad, but works for me!

We love this image so much. Now tell us, is the reflection in her eyes real or is this post. And I only ask because it looks like she's staring into an eclipse of the Sun. Or it could be with ringflash. Fantastic image. Congratulations and thank you for sharing.

WOW! This is the same model I've been admiring in other shots, but she looks a bit more stark here. I think it's because the only overt makeup is the orange smear on her lips. For some reason I wonder if it's flavored as well. Probably not. At any rate, what I find most striking about this photo is the fact that the model seems a bit more stark. I think it's the focus on her face and so there's less "distraction" from stuff like...well...clothing. It's just the viewer and the model, and for me that's most arresting. The unexpected lip color rocks. I don't know if I like it, but it's most-definitely arresting and a bit challenging.
