Description

Shot hand held, zoom, through the motorhome window while travelling about 60 miles per hour down I-5. Postworked on a laptop. I feel crippled without my home computer! The angle of the laptop screen changes the saturation and contrast and I can only guess at how this will look when you see it. Oregon is such a beautiful place. This image shows only a small portion of what the entire view was like as we were driving along. In this area alone we could see mountains and low hills off to the left, the road runs through a beautifully flat valley full of farms and oak trees, and off to the right were more hills. The sky was full of beautiful clouds. If I had one complaint, it was that there was too much glare ... hardly the fault of the landscape! .......... For those of you who were interested in reading JACKDAW by Sambucus ... the story has now been posted in full. It's 21 chapters over 14 postings, and it's a page turner from beginning to end! .......... I've been able to look at some of your work over the past few days, but haven't had time to comment much. I'm hoping to be able to see more today ... it's a non-driving day for us. We're kicking back on the banks of the Rogue River, which is about five or six yards away. A little while ago a guy floated by in an inflatible, fishing and/or just enjoying the day. The sun is out, and it's peaceful and quiet here. I'm hoping to get some pictures later in the day when the light is good. In the meantime, I'm sitting here in my jammies having coffee, looking out the window at the beautiful view. Life is good!

I'm glad you enjoy our state as much as I enjoy yours, and you are certainly in a beautiful spot today. Thanks for the link to Jackdaw. I'll go read it as soon as Car Talk ends.

Very scenic. This is quite a view from the front seats of the motorhome which are as high up as those in an 18-wheeler truck. Having seen this view, you've done a superb job of capturing it and postworking it. Oregon is a beautiful state. Looking forward to spending more time along the coast on our way back to Washington a month or so from now:)

Life is pretty hard, isn't it Tara. At least you won't have the problem I had in Oregon since you carry your restroom with you. I remember this landscape. It is beautiful. Pretty good shot for 60 mph. I must go back soon and explore some of those back roads.

OOoooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh...... I'm sooooooooo jealous, Tara! LOL! Sounds like you and Bill are having the time of your lives! Oregon is so beautiful, and what a wonderful way to see it! I think your photo looks great by the way... It is soooooooo difficult to communicate the feeling you get when this kind of a vista is in front of you in a simple photo. Have fun, you two - life is good, indeed!
