Oggi è stata una giornata strana , solo a inizio pomeriggio il sole è riuscito a penetrare la folta cappa di nebbia che per tutta la mattina l’ha nascosto. Stavo per uscire di casa per recarmi lungo il fosso a Bozzano , quando vedo aggirarsi nel mio giardino un farfalla diversa dal solito, che si va a posare sui vasi di fiori che si trovano sopra la chiusura della pompa a immersione usata per annaffiare il giardino. Guardo bene e vedo essere la farfalla macaone e rientro per prendere la fotocamera . Appena mi avvicino vola via , ma non ci casco , so che tornerà . Un paio di minuti e ,fatto il giro del campo davanti , puntuale torna a posarsi sui quei fiori , il tempo necessario per tre scatti.
Today was a strange day, only at the beginning of the afternoon the sun was able to penetrate the thick cover of fog all morning has hidden. I was about to leave the house to go along the ditch in Bozzano, when I wander into my garden a butterfly different from usual, that is going to put the flower pots that are on the closure of the submersible pump used to water the garden. I look good and I see to be the swallowtail butterfly and return to pick up the camera. As soon as I approach fly away, but no helmet, I know I'll be back. A couple of minutes and went around the field in front, timely returns to rest on the flowers, the time it takes for three shots.

This is wonderful! Excellent color, light, and composition. The bright exposure of the flowers on the right, and the dark background, makes the butterfly really stand out. I love how the dark colors in the butterfly, tie in with the dark colors of the background. Superb use of colors and light. It has a magical feel. I expect to see Alice asking about a white rabbit any minute. I like this a lot!
