Description

This image is also completely new. It is a companion to "Snowhere".

It's still cold around here, but I've seen the first plum trees bloom the other day, and it felt like spring is finally here. And I'm finally done (hopefully) with this image. It took forever to get the skin and lighting done right (and I'm still not 100% sure I did, but at least now it finally looks like the idea I had in my head when I started). This is pure Carrara with only DOF and DOF-related color correction done in postwork. Backaground was rendered as a separate scene and added to the character scene as a backdrop. This helped a lot with the rendering time. Many thanks to Tim Payne for the Carrara DOF-render tricks and to Cath (Mec4D) for her Photoshop DOF tips. Please look at the full size.
