Description
Captured 6/12/10, at the Centennial Aviation Day celebration, held on the grounds of the beautiful Dominguez Rancho Adobe Museum in Carson, California.

The plan was to inflate the tethered balloon and then take on passengers from the crowd. I don't know if they had to pay extra for the thrill and/or how high above the ground they were to be lifted.

I feel sorry for the poor person huffing and puffing trying to blow up this balloon (haha). Always glad to see lots of color on these spectacular Hot Air Balloons. Looking forward to seeing more in this series.

Reminds me of a giant multicoloured squash growing in someone's garden...cool to see it burgeoning like this! I wish we had more balloons around here, I guess the landscape isn't balloon-friendly with all the very tall pointy trees so close together. Wonderful shots, Harry; would you go in a balloon if offered? I think I would, despite my deep-seated fear of flying.
