Description

I am not really very much into jewelry. In fact, where jewels are concerned, I find the naturally occurring crystals far more beautiful than any embellishment by a jeweler. There are, however, exceptions. I once saw a special museum exhibit of the work of Peter Carl Fabergé (1846–1920), a Russian goldsmith and jeweler. He is known for the intricate Easter eggs that he made for Tsar Alexander III and other royalty. I was so impressed by his artistry that I made a video (Fractal Fabergé Eggs) in which I presented 78 three-dimensional eggs. At this time of year viewer comments start rolling in, thanking me for Easter egg ideas (sigh). It is not generally known, however, that Fabergé also created other famous jeweled works including Tiaras. One of them, made in 1895 was recently sold for £1.05 million to an anonymous buyer at Christie’s in London. So since I have done enough eggs to last me a lifetime, I thought I would try a tiara; and here it is. Created in Ultra Fractal using a Newton M-set hypercomplex

This is magnificent Stan!!! I'm not really very versed in jewelery either, but I know what i like, and this is gorgeous. I would have guessed it was a crown instead of a tiara, but thats mainly because I dont know the difference. I viewed your video about the faberge eggs quite a while back now and still marvel at the beauty of it. I would recommend it to any one viewing this that has not had the pleasure yet. Have a great day Stan.

Ah, I'm sure this will become famous too. Such lovely in swinging forms, buildup with the brilliance of deep warm jewelry. Never seen a Tiara, but this MUST BE IT! The vest of a queen, I see two shoulder pads and a chest. A beautiful garment for a king or queen? But perhaps a squire was covered this way with a beautiful tiara. Anyway, it's wonderful, and I can't keep my eyes off, all this shine on the beautiful background. :)

A beautiful jewelled tiara you have created here and it certainly does remind me of the Faberge ones. I too have seen an exhibtion of these works while I was in Australia a few years ago and I marvelled at the intricacies of his wonderful work. Excellent work.

As beautiful as an original Fabergé jewel, my friend! Tiara or imperial crown....it has definitely a Russian look! Very elegant creation!
