Description

The title to this piece refers to the description of species evolution set forth by Charles Darwin in his 1859 book ~On the Origin of Species~ Darwin knew that his findings would set of a firestorm of controversy and so repeatedly delayed publication until several parallel lines of inquiry by kindred researchers forced his hand. Since Darwin’s time, the original theory has undergone numerous refinements resulting from continuing research in the area, but the fundamental thesis remains unchanged. It is accepted as incontrovertible fact by virtually the entire scientific community, due to the overwhelming supportive evidence. It has resulted in a paradigm shift in worldview and is hotly contested from various theological perspectives. My rendering today is intended to make a statement in that regard but this venue allows insufficient space to verbalize it. I will therefore allow the piece to stand on its own merits and the viewers, if they wish to do so, can interpret it as they see fit. I would prefer, however, that they just enjoy it. Splendid Fractal work, superb. Being of a Scientific mind and a Recovering Catholic for many decades now I haven't much use for the Theological perspectives on things, they simply are not mine, however I do understand where they come from. Voltaire said,"If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him." What did he mean? He meant humans have tendency to find blame outside of themselves, for Good and Bad, this is the basis of all the Gods. Peace

This is a fantastic representation of evolution theory by Darwin my friend, I see a depiction of Fibonacci's sequence (spiral) along with the fractals, all of which reverse the pattern of the Universe´s trend towards greater Entropy, driving for greater organization instead, just like Evolution!

Certainly I try enjoy. Because I find a rose in the darkness of the biological theories on display, here as special shown. ;-)

Magnificent image Stan, Sorry I'm quite late in commenting but Glenda and I were away for a few days. Now I have a big backlog of comments to catch up on. I love your text here. I also have much more connection to the evolution theroy than the creationist one. I understand where the creationist theroy comes from and why there is a need for it in the eyes of some people. Your image evokes feeling of the primordial soup where life first emerged from.

A beautiful image you have created here. I love how the little spiral in the center gives off a super feeling of being caught up in the beauty of this fractal and drawing me in.
