Description
The best general of the Byzantine Empire.
He lived from 500 to 565 AD, beggining his military service as a simple soldier. He soon became an officer and after several clever movements in the battlefields and outside of it, he became a general.
From this rank he managed to win important battles for the empire with a little or almost without help from his emperor Justinian, who was afraid of Belisarius popularity.
He managed to defeat Sassanide Persians, the strongest army of his era, with a clever trick, he destroyed Gelimer's Vandals, Ostrogoths etc. & won more battles than any other Byzantine general of all times.

Actually that's one of the cool things about some of the artists here that create character art that they take the time to explain and leave a little history lesson for those of us that don't know who or what they are..I didn't know nothing about this dude until you posted the History lesson...So as for me ...Thanks for doing So!... Excellent Character Art BTW!....(smiles)...
