Description

Medes were the ancestors of modern Iranians. Great warriors with a unique presence at the Great Persian king's army, back at the 6th century B.C. Medes were the first line soldiers at Marathon battle... They were also in the first line at Thermopylae, seeking revenge for their relatives at Marathon. They were the first soldiers of the great Persian army, king Leonidas faced in the battlefield. This guy was an officer. It can be seen by the round golden edge of his spear and his golden small sword (akinaki). Herodotus wrote they were jewels & stuff, even at the battlefield, and when the battle was over slaves were luting their rings, necklaces & stuff... I didn't felt very comfortable to dress him like this, even if the old wise man knew better... ------ Bryce, Poser, no postwork except the signature. Hope you like it people. Best regards ---Kostas
