Description
Canola field in East Tennessee, not too far from where I live. It was amazing standing in the middle of this field last night watching the sunset, and minutes later seeing the largest moon I've seen in years start to rise. Thank you Tom for sending me the information and directions to this beautiful place.

When I saw this I thought of fields of rape seed in England about 25 years ago, so I read greyone's comment with some interest. We lived for 2 years in Banbury and 2 years near Oxford. I was listening to the radioone day, and I heard that the highest concentration of rape seed cultivation was between Banbury and Oxford. The show was on allergies, and beautiful as these images are, I am glad to see them via the computer screen. I can remember seeing a yellow haze over the fields on still days and feeling like I wanted to scratch my eyes out, they itched so badly. Lovely images and collage! Wonderful combination of close-ups of the flowers and shots of the field.

I've always wondered how it grew, what it looked like, just never got around to googling it, now I don't have to. An amazing sight, this sea of yellow! Gorgeous, and a wonderful montage. I hope you were able to get photos of the huge moon .. I got some, but it was very cloudy night and most of the shots are when the moon peaked between clouds. None were very impressive.
