Description
My sister ran the Boston Marathon this past Monday. She beat her own best time by 5 minutes--in 3.57.
It was one of most amazing days I've every experienced. The city of Boston and all the towns along the route came out in force to support, cheer and encourage the runners. I read there were a MILLION people lining the full 26.2 miles. This foto was taken at 25 miles; I managed to find her twice, no easy task. But you can see how much she loved seeing us and I couldn't be prouder of my baby sister!!!
I LOVE Boston, and we are still here, having a great time. Had a slight camera scare, but all is well and I just uploaded 312 fotos. This one, though had to be the first!!!

I ran the two mile race in high school. Now days I rarely DRIVE 26 miles! Congrats to your sister. I hope you had a bucket of ice waiting for her feet at back at the hotel. The winner ran a world record but was denied recognition because part of the race was downhill. I wonder how they calculate the uphill portions?

Great Scott, they ran the marathon already? Not a word of in the local media. Anyway, cool shot of your baby sister just about nearing the end of the grueling contest, Marilyn. Great to see she still had the wherewithal to spot you on the sidelines after all those miles.

wow she in shape. i would had ran it in 26 hours most likely lol . a mile an hour Guess she can figure out how fast she was going with the time she got
