Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Way Cool!

Much better that he repairs this beautiful fire escape than it gets torn down and replaced with some shiny modern ladder or something. I love these, and they add so much character! Wonderful capture!

Hey thats Ned Kelly!

Pretty good POV, contrast, geometry and postwork in this shot of a guy welding or just trying to light a cigarette, Maz. And I can't imagine you covering all of Boston in your flip-flops. But you're probably used to it by now.

Sweet capture!

So let me get this straight. Someone told him, "The fire escape is unstable and we want you to stand on it while you fix it." I hope he gets hazard pay. Fanatastic action shot and superb POV.

Super! I love the urbanness of this shot. I've seen things similar to this in Chicago and I have to say that just looking at this, Boston has a different vibe: more relaxed and more eastern. I love the red bricks and the fire escape lines. This is really great stuff...perfectly seen.
