Description
This is Big Blue and he comes to fish in our lake almost daily. He is about 46 inches (117cm) tall and has a wingspan of about 72 inches (183cm). My office is in the second floor, of our condo and my desk is situated so that I have a wonderful view of the lake, through a double set of sliding glass doors. The lake is low right now because we are in the middle of a drought. The lake is about the size of a professional soccer field. The small shells that you see, around the edge of the lake, are freshwater clam shells. Zoom would be great!

Nice shot Dana, this one looks like the Heron's we have in the UK I see them when we walk the dog by the Canal or reservoir but they are very shy and fly off if you try to get close, they are very impressive in flight.
