Description

He turned the corner, saw her standing there with a suitcase and formed a quick thought. Something equivalent to, "Nice." She was looking up the street and saw him come around the corner. She liked the hat. For the next few seconds, they both wondered what the other would be like sitting across a table, or on the far end of a sofa and/or in bed. In fact, they had the same favorite movie, liked music better ten years ago, would rather read a book than watch tv, unless it was an old black and white movie from the 1940s. Thirty feet later, he looked back at her, just because. He turned back around just as she turned her head and looked at him. He never saw. Thoughts lingered and made them think more than they wanted to. They passed like ships in the night.
