Description

Bonjour, I have the pleasure to submit you the new works ‘s paintings .Always around of the them “Eternal Return” ‘s F.W. NIETZSCHE and my symbolist approach. Why alleys in town or village ? When one walk or move along to roads or motorways ,we go from point to an other point. It’s all ! It’s little. Into the alleys ,one look , one lose one’s way ,one turn and return ,… etc … With pleasure or unpleasure ,with happiness or as well suffering. The world with the life of peoples from all countries ,all believes ,all superstitions ,tragedies , happinesses, arts,….etc…The colors of the live . I have tried to translate this idea. “ If the life don’t you love, love the life..”….. Outcomes my yearly travels in Morocco and Egypt ,I have used my villages or little towns ‘s memories. Twenty – fifth painting: ELSEWHERE 2 (series of X paintings ) 2 / X LA PORTE ENTRE L’ETRE ET LE NEANT / THE DOOR BETWEEN BEING AND NOTHINGNESS Porte d’une ruelle à l’intérieur de la Medinah d’Essaouira (Maroc) Door alley inside Essaouira Medinah (Morocco) Real format after print (art paper or canvas) : 81 x 60 cm. Jean has a distinct style, easily recognizable. The strokes are sure and bold the favorite colors being blue and ocra. His works are the whole time progressing like the painting today, a true masterpiece. The great advantage the real artists have over CG, is above all about depicting humans in relaxing and natural poses.

Alleys hold mystery and adventure. This image holds all of that and is very visually appealing.

As you know I love your style of art, and this one really appeals to me. I find myself feeling the warmth that emulates from it, and wish I could tag along and find our what lies around that corner. The whole scene is very uplifting, I love this. hugs Jane xx

It is very interesting the position of the persons in the alley and the contrasts between them. I can see diferent worlds as well as traditions or ways of life; however, the differences are tiny, in an upper concept of life. The mistery and the unknown connect them and atract them into a similar path...this door is, really, a very thin boundary in life... and never know where she really is...behind us? before us? In my view, your alley clearly depicts this. Thought provoking image. Wonderful strong colors and light. Bravo, Jean!

Wonderful image! We are once more in the world of light and shadows, the curiosities of modern life and undisclosed secrets of traditional life. This piece of art done in well known poumarèdean style is, as always, full of atmosphere of expectation: what is going on? what is going to happen when we turn on the left? what we are going to face there? the state of being or nothingness? I like very much these Poumarède expressive artistic stories! And again, my vote is 5+++++++++++++++

When worlds collide ... I agree with Ana, but go one step more ... is she behind us or before us, OR are we the same? There is in a sense no difference, but there is all the difference in the world. Being a western woman, an American woman, of course I identify with one character over another. But if I could speak to the others, if language was no barrier, what would I learn? Same needs, same concerns? Only different circumstances. A fascinating work, my friend. Beautifully done!

As many have already mentioned, I also love your style of rendering. Aside from the vibrant colours of which I always enjoy, there is a lively energy as if this moment is very much happening now. Perhaps this is the fluid like effect of the two cultures mixing with each other in the scene. Maybe the 'western woman' on the left is imparting so impact on an environment that has endured for more than a thousand years. Or perhaps it is the other way around. Very well done and thoughtful work.
