Description

I can honestly say, that there are not too many Ladies overwhelmed by seeing a Spider ! - but there are others, who have a penchant and love for these beautiful creatures (needless to say, apart from Doxies). When I spotted this itzy, bitzy - teeny, weeny little spider, I almost screamed with delight to have found something sooo unusual and good-looking, (sorry guys - you are no match!) He reminded me of a Biscuit - in shape & colour, only the Cheese missing ... (think Wallace & Gromit, British Animations) Cheers *BB* aka Brigitte (BTW these are 2 photos overlayed & tweaked)

I knew, evoluntionarily speaking, Australia went it's own way a long time ago but until you described this I thought it was a very large spider trying to carry off a teeny tiny craker. Now you tell me it's all one creature!? Truely strange. And to show how cheeky it is, it has a smiley face on it's bottom! Well, it's still a superb capture and a really odd discovery.

Any bug that looks like that has to be really really dangerous, I would not mess with the critter no matter how tiny or how kewl it looks.

This spider has a tattoo! A death mask? No, right? He makes gymnastics, climbing up to a straw. He escaped from the circus, I guess. You're a wonderful artist, and have captured a very small artist boyfriend. Do you ever let him free, my beautiful friend :D?

This is one fascinating spider and yes he looks like a biscuit, the blues suit him the straw is distracting you only need the bottle and the spider, less is better. Geoff.

This is so wild looking! Wonderful capture! I was curious and googled 'strange spiders of Australia.' I found a web site called 'Top 10 Bizarre Spiders' and found the Spiny Orb Weavers (Gasteracantha) which looks like this. There are a lot of different colors and shapes. The one I found closest to yours is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30221169@N04/2930468074/ They are not considered dangerous. The spider in Charlotte's web is a barn orb-weaver spider. Love your capture and the way you made him into the Cookie Thief. Excellent image!
