UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

He certainly goes out on a limb to get the best pics. Health and safety would frown on this in the UK.

Nice capture of the photographer and crew doing their thing Bill..

Hmmm... looks like a group of locals (Indians) doing some fashion shooting with a very nice background for their photos. The big white dish looks like a cloth (or cardboard) reflector to fill in so the shadows don't get too dark, as is often the case in bright sunlight. They look quite focused on their work since they don't seem to have discovered you. This type of photo is often the best - the subjects hard at work and unknowing they're being photographed. That way one get's them in natural poses. Great job! In fact, you didn't need you telephoto lens. This is much better as it shows this isn't posed, and, it captures the setting and precarious work very well. :-)

Great capture of this photo crew at work! They'd probably love a copy of this image if you only knew who they were!

GREAT IMAGE, FANTASTIC SHOT!

Outstanding POV employed to capture the brave souls at work, Bill, plus the fantastic color, texture and grandeur of the scene itself. And, better them than me! I take photos from somewhat hazardous spots myself, but, in this instance, my acrophobia would do me in.

Hard location! But oh, the view!

Wow, pretty tough light to use for fashion shots! I think yours are better that theirs may be.

Excellent capture, Bill! Hope that assistant has a good grip on the reflector - one good gust of wind, and they'll never see it again! I think this is just perfect even without the telephoto.

Okay, Bill, I'm officially awed now. Just thought I'd let you know that. This batch of photos are some of the best I've ever seen! Wow! All I can do is to keep sitting here staring at them with my tongue hanging out and closing my mouth long enough to keep repeating the word "Wow!" Much in the manner of Keanu Reeves. These shots really are far out, Dude.
Rainastorm
Umm, WOW! What an awesome place to be to photograph!!!
MagikUnicorn
Thats the place for this ;-)

So I was right :-) Something occurs to me, more obvious in the 'backdrop' image, all that's behind her is bushes. They could have done that in the local park...surely she should have her back to the canyon! Great bit of 'extreme' photography...see you 'on the road'...
