Description

When we were in Arizona we went to Cave Creek to have dinner with friends of Hugh and Linda's. They graciously gave permission for me to take all the photos I wanted! Unfortunately I felt like I should at least participate in the conversation, so I didn't get half of what I wanted, but I DID wander around the house with my camera for a little while! This is the view standing in the kitchen doorway, looking past the front door, the dining room and living room, and toward the master suite.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, Tara! OMG - that is a house to absolutely die for!! And what a lovely photo! The sun coming in the windows, the warm tones of the wood, and that floor! Wow X 3! What a magnificent view! Now all it needs is a beautiful model walking down the hallway towards us, or possibly pausing to look out the window.... wink, wink

I love this style! When we remodeled the house in California we did something like this, with terra cotta walls, an open floor plan, green saltillo tile floors and support pillars. It makes for such a cool welcoming feeling! This is just stunning!

This is gorgeous and truly, truly inviting; it ranks up there with the best stuff I've seen in Architectural Digest when they weren't focusing on staid and sterile stuff. I love the rich, inviting, and ultimately organic colors, and the sense of welcome is pretty evident here...yeah, and it does help to be social...it means that you get more photographic opportunities later. :-)

Superb mix of colors and textures. And great attention to detail such as the tiles at the bottom. The sun shining through the windows must be glorious at certain times of the day. You've captured it all wonderfully well.
