Description

At a rest stop in the San Joaquin Valley early in April. We left the desert yesterday and are headed back up the valley today. Scenes like this will become more frequent as we move north this afternoon.

I have to say I should feel much happier with the increase in greens. This looks promisingly verdant!

I thought those clouds were mountains when I looked at the thumbnail; and then I saw that those clouds are mountains, just made out of water-vapor and so less likely to hurt if any part of them ever comes sliding/falling/avalancing off...that's a good thing. This is such a gorgeous sight, so open and relaxing. That's a place I have yet to visit. Hmmm...I wonder if there are any woodlouse variants there...
