Description

HI Everynone! well ive been playing again, ive had to take time off of work as i have a golf ball sized abscess under my eye, (it hurts yup) so i have been squinting somewhat making this model. My original Imperium starcruiser was lost in a hard drive crash, so ive been doodling (as you do) with some new ideas. The engines, housings and nose cone was made in Rhino the rest Bryce, rendered all together with a slapped together space station, put it waaaaay out there alongside a 6000x6000x6000 sphere to represent some kind of depth,(im not happy lol) render time at 4000 x 3000 was 4 hours 40 mins. Lens flares done in Universe, conversion and signature psp. Im working more in Rhino and Z-Brush, im getting there but it still causes many as we call *brain farts* but....im getting there...i think. Dont worry im still making just as much in Bryce, im just stumped with panels and shapes i just cannot intersect in Bryce 4. Inspired by nearly every sci fi film in existence including the *B* ones mashed together at least 20 model concepts from films and tv series to make what you see. As always, created and modeled by myself, mats my own with the exception of the planet mat of mars courtesy of JPLNASA. Ive started my tutorial d.v.d and hopefully will have it complete in a month or two. Thankyou in advance for taking a look, Have a great week everyone Steve :) (best viewed full size)

Wow!!! I was totally caught off-guard by this, and what a great surprise this morning. The ship is rich in so many fine details that I've been staring at it intensely for a good 5 minutes before I could even begin contemplating some kind of comment. I really like the hull material, it's bright and simple enough to really let the details of your model show through, and the support structures, the various panels (I'm assuming they're probably cooling radiators?) are fantastic, it's a really breath-taking render. Even the "slapped together" station is an excellent model, you don't do anything by halves do you? Brilliant work!
