Description

Ok, so this image has a lot of postwork and I recommend viewing it full size for all the detail and what not. But this took a personal turn in postwork. I wanted to convey sadness as that is the expression I was going for and I decided to draw from personal experience and write something. So this one goes out to anyone who has a loved one whose been diagnosed with a disease. I hope my text isn't too dark or discouraging because there is hope and beauty in every struggle. Over a year ago my best friend was diagnosed with cancer and my father with alzheimer's. Today my friend is clean and rid of the cancer and there is amazing relief and joy in that but my father will continue to decline and there is absolutely nothing I or anyone else can do about it and it's hard to handle. I can't really think about it too much. Thank you for viewing.

Wonderful. Thank you for illustrating that what an artist can do with a render, everyone can see!

This is gorgeous, and I had really hoped looking at your WIP that you'd do something artistic with her. I love her expression. It's real. It's not mega-drama. It's pain, and frustration, and exhaustion all at once. Excellent work, Vestmann!!

This is an emotional piece for sure. Life is unfair and sometimes I wonder what the point of it all is, however, at the same time this is the only life we have so we have to make the most of it we can. I am glad your friend is cancer free. I am sorry to hear about your father. I work closely with Alzheimer patients and see the pain families go through as they watch the disease slowly claim their loved ones. Prayers for you and your family.
