Description
Another corner seen wandering around the maze of alleys backing the core of downtown Graz, Austria. Only that this corner looks suspiciously like a backside little square in Venice, maybe because of the notice saying L'angolo (Italian for The Corner), the name of a cozy art gallery. The dog was waiting for someone inside the gallery, I suppose. The German advice about smoking (something like 'the visit can be deadly smoking locally, welcome Non-smoking for good ventilation'- google-translated)tells us we are definitely in Graz, however.
Thanks for your kind comments.

What an image! This is a perfect tableau of a world I'd feel immensely comfortable in, despite the fact that I'm a smoker (at least for now, though it is not a permanent disposition.) I like every element of this brilliant shot and the first thing that grabbed me was the hanging laundry! WOW! Very nice!

Fascinating corner and great capture. I've seen those pulley kinds of clothes lines. I like the contrast of the doors. Wonderful textures, and composition. Great image!

A wonderful capture of a little corner of city life. It's all there. You really have "the eye" for this sort of thing. Bravo!

Raucherlokal, I think, refers to a smoker's bar---though don't quote me on that. Anyway, this is yet another wonderful urban collage, and if it weren't from a passing capture, I would wonder if some artist didn't arrange this to make it a work of street-art. What a fine eye you have! The corner is punctuated by the dark door and long pipe. You caught a dog & some other objects (incl the cement base for some poles), a highly contrasting modern door to its right (our left), a piece of graffiti under the "corner" sign, that wonderful skewed sign w/ that crazy message lol, those wonderful but sparely placed clothes hanging on the opposite wall, wonderful decay and discoloration, more graffiti---this time very dramatic (and why does all wall graffiti look so similar across the Western world? that graffiti could be in my hometown!), and the tilted---by the lens, I presume---piece of the rest of the city, just to remind us of the context of the whole. Your eye sees so many juxtapositions at once, I don't know how you don't fall in a heap when you get home. A great composition, wonderfully messy & yet spare, and with plenty of texture for all. Terrific, just terrific work.
