Some of you know me as 3D newbie chemicalX here, but I decided to focus my gallery on my new passion in life - photography. I've been dabbling around in photography for a few years now and I've fallen head over heels in love with it. My partner, Shane, got me a Canon EOS 20D for my birthday and started me on a path of obsession! A path that I would like to share through this gallery. The chemicalX gallery will stay up to showcase my 3D stuff and if I do ever get back into it, I'll upload those things there, so keep an eye on that too. I appreciate any feedback I get, so if you have any comments or critique (be it good or bad - as long as it's done in a "civilised" way), please do tell me - it's the only way that I'm going to get better at this. Also, eventhough I don't say thank you to everyone on an individual basis, I do appreciate all the feedback and comments you guys give me. Unfortunately 'rosity makes it quite a mission to say "thanks" to a comment. So just because I don't thank everyone individually, doesn't mean that I am not grateful for all the feedback. Thank you to all of you. If you would like to see more of my stuff, you can check out my gallery on dA. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my gallery. Take care, Yak

I spent a bit of time in central Europe, namely in the Czech Republic, and one of the things I saw there were zillions of posters of Franz Kafka. Well...this woman looks nothing like Franz Kafka (thank the gods for small miracles) but this whole image has the feel of the other thing I saw a lot of in Prague, ads for the post-Iron-Curtain fashion collection: Kenvolo. Kinda snazzy if you're into that really sparkly Euro-chic look that could serve as either a wearable disco ball, or fashion statement with more font action that the latest version of Microsoft Word...but all of that notwithstanding, this strikes me in the way that many of the Kenvolo ads struck me in showing super glamor, rock-star chic, eye shadow, blond hair, some sparkly things, and a really hot woman underneath it all. This captures that vibe perfectly and touches on that whole "where does the model diverge from the character" thing I was going on, and on about earlier. I really like that vibe in this, and her sultry expression is really well captured. This is yet another really wonderfully nice shot.
