Description

Here is one of the lovely wooden tea tables. This shop was so crowded, and the lighting so poor, many of the images I shot could not be shown, I do not possess the Photoshop skills to properly present much of the lovely works of art there were in this shop. I removed the wide angle lens whenever I could so I could use the pop-up flash. Yes, this a a tree stump. For all I know the wood may be imported, but considering most stumps are never used for much more than firewood, leave it to the Chinese to make certain very little goes to waste. It amazes me to see these works, how they can see in a stump, or a root, or a spindly broken branch, a potential sculpture. It is truly quite inspirational to me. I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did taking it and doing the post-work.
