Description
Spurred on by the comment from Paul Leatham I looked up Robert Mapplethorpe and decided to have a go at emulating one of his flower shots, as I grow Sarracenia I chose that one, his picture is titled Double Jack In A Pulpit.
An hour later and a bit of dodging and burning in Photoshop nothing I would not have done with an enlarger in the old fashioned way in 1988 when the original was made.
The lighting by the way was a 160 LED work light purchased for £25 from the local supermarket with a white towel held by my long suffering wife as a reflector to fill in the shadows, I think the light was a success now I have to mount it on a stand.

I'm touched. It's a good copy. The thing I like about the original is the fleshy quality with the delicate veins. Brilliant.
