Description

Trust me ... this is an aviation shot. Cowling. Other than that ... who cares? :P I'm working on paring aviation down to its essentials.

I'd say you're doing a very good job. This looks like it's in outer space--it's beautiful!!

Great Photo !! I'd say Your paring it down. When I first saw this, I thought it was a Space Station. But after reading Your note I recognize it. Well done.

Good news...they can be remarkably fussy objects in so many ways. I just LOVE this!

Only you, Tara, only you! Who else can take an object like a cowling and make a piece of art like this - just amazing, my friend! You are inspiring me to look at ordinary, utilitarian things in a whole new way! Thank you! :-D

You've already pared it down to sheet metal and rivets. Next up, nuts and bolts? {;-> This image glows. Really fantastic abstract and the colors and light are amazing.

Can't see this getting off the ground by itself, needs the rest of the plane. A cool shot and great colours.

Oooh! Yeah, paring anything down to it's essentials is what art is all about, and this is probably the closest I've seen in photography to capturing classical Japanese Noh drama: it's all about subtlety you know...a gesture one millimeter different from the other exceptionally tiny gesture is the difference between comedy or tragedy, if you're into Noh theater. Anyway, this shot really captures that. It's the visual embodiment of flight, and it's stunning! It does look vaguely astronomical as well, and what's not to like about that?
