Description

THE iconic shot from Ecola State Park. This is the one everybody takes every time they go. You just can't help it! That's Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock in about the middle of the picture. Only a couple more days and we'll be home!

You are correct ...I've been there many times and have to always stop and take a picture from this spot. Your photo really captures the beauty of the area.

I can certainly see why..... I know I'd sure devote a few megapixels to this breathtaking view! Just amazing - superb capture, Tara! It's good to hit the road once in a while, but it's also good to get home! :-D

A gorgeous view...who says it is always raining at Cannon Beach? Ok, back to my butt load of pictures from today to find something not-so-iconic:)

It might be taken often - I cannot claim to recognise or have seen it before. An amazing coastline, Clive

It's no wonder everyone stops to take a photo of this wonderful scene. A fabulous place and a great capture too.

I was so glad to see this photograph. I moved from the area and really miss going to this area. It is so beautiful and your photo does it justice. Great pic.

I must go there now so that I can get this shot. And what a shot it is. I love the shape of that place. Chicago is built on such flat land that it's sometimes a bit shocking to see land that does something. Prague is in a valley, so the land there does some interesting and rather oddly vertical things. It's nice to see land (and sea) doing something other than being horizontal, and I love those upthrusts of rock. They look almost like dead volcano remnants. That's never a bad thing. This is really marvelous.
