Description

Is your life verging on a disaster, or does it just look like that ? Quite often we feel that the whole world is just falling down about us. When you sidestep a falling slate in a gale, or piece of masonry, after a windy night in old Glasgow, one might feel quite entitled to have that viewpoint. As usual, being a native of Scotland, it not only rains but it pours. Life is like that too. Sometimes the perceptions are deceptive and beautiful, but not deceptively beautiful ... ;o) This image was crafted in Serif PhotoPlus X5 ( a worthy rival to Adobe's Photoshop ), using two Photoshop compatible filters, the old, trusty Flood, from Flaming Pear, and the bright, new, and almost overwhelming chap on the block, Filter Forge 2 Standard, with its thousands of mind blowing effects. It gave me time to think, that being in the right place at the right time, can be quite exhilarating, but also quite heavy with responsibilities too. If your life is like that, just take time to stop, think, reflect, pray and armed with God's help, continue on your way. You are not alone, even if the far shore might seem too close and dangerous. He will surely pilot you to His safe haven, for a good rest, at last. God bless you all, regular viewers, and lost souls who've only just stumbled across my work, John.

If you find a reason to be thankful every day, you soon start to look at the world in a different way. Sooner or later you realise how lucky you are, not unlucky, and that - I think - is the beginning of happiness.
