MB3D / PSP Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. Len mentioned that a new version of MB3D was released today. This is my first image with it. There are sveral small changes that have sped up its rendertime. The big change is there is the ability to use reflections now. I tried playing with the reflection mode but need lots more practice before knowing what I'm doing. The new version adresses some issues with the navigator too. So even if your not interested in the reflections it is well worth the download to upgrade your library. Back to work tomorrow. Its hard after a 3 day weekend to get eager to go to work knowing that stuff will be backlogged waiting for me. Well titled, Jim. This does look like the kind of material around volcanic regions where you find diamonds and other precious stones. The effect is even heightened by the 'cooled lava' look. Have fun exploring the new version; doubtless many new surprises await us. Fascinating work as always.

Think that might be a good one for reflects. Looking at the params, I would kill the Hard Shadows and try SSAOr thres@1 and pump up the Depth on reflects maybe. That's just a first guess, I'm still figgering out the best way to use the reflects too. Peace

Great they fixed some of the issues with the navigator, that will be a help. :) I hear the reflections add a lot of time to the render, but this is true with all the 3D programs. Great work on this fractal, looks really cool! :)
