My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

I love the sounds these things make! And they're incredibly huge...something I saw first hand while moving dental equipment to southern Illinois. A truck drove past us, transporting a single blade (it looked as if it might have been made of fiberglass) and it was...well...I've seen smaller spaceships in George Lucas space operas. The truck in question was followed by two more, and well...WOW! We actually passed the wind farm the trucks were heading to and there were zillions of these things, though not nearly as many as I saw spinning impressively in Dortmund, Germany...now that was a wind farm...but of course my friends Ronny, Anja, and Carsten saw nothing particularly fascinating about it. For them it was just that place you go near just before getting to the hypermarket. to buy liverwurst for the day's improvised picnic. And now I can send them a link to this picture along with the boastful declaration: See! We have these in the USA too.

LOL! A fun image. I remember seeing a swath of these in California many years ago. There was a road leading up to them with a sign saying "No Trespassing" which I took because I was driving. My husband said "We can't go down there! It said "No trespassing!" on that sign." I said "What sign? I didn't see any sign. But if we get stopped you didn't see any sign either, right?" I took a few shots and then chickened out and turned the car around and left before we were apprehended. Heehee! Oh well, I can't always be Goodie Two Shoes!

That - is an amazingly cool photo!

Great shot and I love how you have made the wind turbines stand out, but unlike most of the other comments I find these things a hideous blot on a beautiful view.
