Our Autumn rain has bought out the best in Mushrooms - they are high in fiber & protein, low in calories and contain important minerals
but most of all - they just taste so yummy -think 'Mushroom Omelet' or 'Mushroom Soup' or? enough already ...

Here is my thought for the day:
"All Mushrooms are edible - but some only once!"
and here is another one:
"Frustration is the compost from which Mushrooms of creativity grow."

Fantastic POV and composition! My fav, portabello sliced an inch thick. A 50/50 mix of Italian/ceaser dressing and BBQ.... yummmy!

I have been missing the assorted fungi images from our usual suspects. Thank you for taking up the banner. Superb capture, composition and light are fantastic. I once had a mushroom omlet in Java. Walked around stoned for the entire day.

Ah rain! I knew what that was once. Beautiful image! Superb POV and light! Wonderful shadows against the rock. I love the way they both stand out against and are a part of their surroundings. The composition and textures are fantastic too. They look like a tradition family unit, Papa Mushroom, Momma Mushroom, and Baby Mushroom. And you talk of eating them! Though a mushroom omelet does sound good...
