Description

These stairs lead to a house in New Orleans in the French Quarter. The stairway is locked behind iron railings and an iron door. Access Denied. Had to stick my lil Powershot through the railing to get this picture. People stopped and asked what is the significance of the stairway, what lay at the top of the stairs, and why we'd want a picture of it. Well, aside from the fact that it's old, beautifully crafted and probably full of history and amazing stories; I guess it's of little significance. But I love it and covet it. It's simply a stairway to yesterday - a time before the French Quarter became a tourist magnet. Before it's significance became lost.
