Description

On Sunday, May 22, what has been called the deadliest tornado in the U.S. in 60 years ripped through the town of Joplin, Missouri. More than a third of this community lies in ruin. Many lives have been lost - 123 at last count - and many more have been left to heal from the heartbreak of loss and try to rebuild thier lives. I hope this image gives Dave and the people of Joplin a tiny ray of light and hope for the future. Missourians are known for thier strength and faith. Joplin will heal, and rebuild. And it's citizens will remember those lost. God bless you and provide comfort and healing. Please remember Dave and his family and all those who suffered loss in this tragedy. Photo by Rod Shelley Christ of The Ozarks, Eureka Springs, Arkansas The 'falling star' is actually a contrail from an aircraft high above. I shot several frames as the airplane progressed - I liked this one best :-)

it is so sad what has befallen that community! The devastation of nature is one thing that cannot be predicted, as we have learned over and over recently. Beautiful dedication here!
