Anybody who has shared their life with a kitten will need no explanation for the title of this work!
Thank you to Val for the beautiful Neah. I thought she looked east European so I gave her a blonde look, which I so rarely do. She is great character who gives great expressions. Wonderful skin tones.
Also special thanks to Chuck Nepo who some time ago sent me this gorgeous double handed fairy sword called Myth to test out. Finally had a chance to do so.
Really spent a lot of time building up the 3-d vegetation to try and give a deep forest at night feel to this work. That was my major goal. Paid for it with render times running 8-10 hours but I like the results.
Lots of time in material room working with texture maps on armour, rocks, logs, dragon and sword to bring out the most texture possible. Point lighting from staff. Then worked on again in postwork with sharpening brush plus painted in highlights and shadow depth with dodge and burn.

This is an entirely new turn in Roxy's progress. Gone are the fuzziness and everything is clear and crisp, but still with a softness. No posterizing a la Maddelirium, but full bodied colours! Now please don't change anymore because now its perfect. I really must take time to study this painting thouroughly and try to learn. Outstanding is the word!

Yes, the playfulness of a kitten. Wonderful detail. Love the sword and the mouse and Dragon. You did a great job with Val's Neah. She is beautifully exhibited here. BTW funny you mention kitten. We just got a 9 week old Calico named Talia. Her mother was a feral but she is the sweetest loving little thing that loves to snuggle. She is working on making friends with the other 3 cats. Trick is lots of hugs and kisses and attention for the other cats so they don't feel threatened. 3 days in her new home and she is winning them over. Keep up the good work. Hugs Liz
