Description
These trees have died from sulphuric acid and other baddies bubbling up from below the thin crust.
Danapommet commented that these trees are 'petrified' here in the geyser fields - he is right of course and so was I hoping for no eruption!!!

To see these trees dead here must mean that the volcanic activity has increased in size so you were probably right to be apprehensive. They make for great captures though.
