Description
Around this set I built a 3 metre high white wall which I lit up so the chrome would be bright. (you don't light chrome you light what it reflects!)
I lit the scene itself with 3 lights for an overall exposure, then reopened the lens on the same sheet of film, with the studio darkened and painted light into the wheels and motor to make them pop even more with a colour corrected spotlight wrapped up in a leather jacket so it didn't burn my arms....the whole exposure was about 2 minutes worth of painting over the top of the initial flash exposure. shot at f22 on a Sinar 4x5inch on Ektachrome.
we built the set fairly quickly, they were fun days in this old studio, it was built on top of my town's first graveyard and was a very interesting place to live in...a very creative time in my life... it is a block of high rise apartments now.
love and respect to you good people

I'm curious to know how you transfer your old slides into the digital medium - scan the print - slide/negative scanner? Which is best? I've been experimenting with chrome in Daz and the same tip seems to apply.

What a sexy blue devil! If you ask me if an engine can be "sexy", my answer is YES!, especially when a shiny chrome is included on the outfit... :D Fantastic presentation, and interesting story behind taking this shot! Vashek

~Ah to ride....mine is all but sold...I may have to try a photo of it before letting it go. Of course it wouldn't be art...which this is. Nicely done mate!~
