Description
As some of you may know my day job is creating greeting cards, so good ol' Captain Blood a.k.a. Yannis has made his way onto a few new cards. To avoid any "passing off" / copyright infringement issues I have altered his face in the final release as he just looks way too much like Johnny in these images.....
it is a fine line....... I buy this character and the character remains the property of Joanna (my hats off to you for the sexiest damn male character ever created) but the imagery that I create using this character is copyright ©me.... so in theory I could publish these images as is, because it is my art..... but the fine line is that the movie is just about to be released and if we are seen to be releasing imagery that resembles mister Depp, then we can be seen as "passing off" (stealing from the people that own him and his licensed imagery)
so...to avoid any problems, I shall publish the modified versions of his wonderful face (apologies Joanna) ...lose the buyers who would love to have a JD image and hang onto the buyers that just want a rollicking good pirate card for their little boy and his 7th birthday party.

Hi Captain Carlos! The cards are great but sure you have better altered the face a lot if you don't want hords of lawyers boarding fiercely your office with swords between their long fangs !! :) I wish you great success with your publication. OO. XX

All your combined hard work is paying off. Copyright is always an issue when entering any kind of reproductive company. Although when you think about it...women tend to hold sole license on all copyright...heheheh

Fantastic creations!! I did not know that about selling cards, sounds interresting. Through which canals are you selling? I am allways interresting to hear, because the art market is a jungle and I am happy I don't have to make my living on it.
