Description

Thank you so much for the comments and faves of the previous Angel upload, all so appreciated my friends. Hope today is a good one for you, hugs Jane xx This art is all painted using wacom intuos3 and Photoshop CS4. It took a long time on an off, but was pleased in the end with the outcome, I hope you enjoy the painting and the story. xx When a Prince met a Witch... The story ... The witch ruled the dark forest and all the creatures within it, and that was how it was meant to be, and always had been. Then one day or shall we say one creepy night time as the clock struck twelve the witch went out on her trusty broomstick to see what or who she could cast a spell on, because she was a witch afterall and that is what witches were supposed to do. Little did she know that when she saw the prince talking to her black cats she would be so cross that she would cast the spell of all spells upon that unsuspecting being, mainly due to her jealousy. "Why! how dare he talk to HER cats" - and as she became more and more angry, it happened that unsuspectingly she had begun another fairytale by grasping her orb and casting the froggy spell upon him. The cats looked on with great surprise as their new friend became a frog, and his crown flew up in the air!!! Yes my friends it was then the black cats knew what they had to do, their witch had gone too far that time, and because they decided to leave with said frog prince, they automatically had ahead of them many adventures until the frog prince met his princess. The witch?... Well it is said that she still resides in her forest but without the company of 2 black cats! THE END or possibly to be continued ... Many thanks for sparing some time to view my gallery. Please respect my copyright while you are here, thanks :o) ©2010 JaneEden To zoom for details would be good xx

The cats look truly disappointed with their boss. Nice quirky twist on the old fable and the artwork is splendid.

Oh my goodness! So this is how the story of the Frog Prince came to be! See? there is always a bit of truth in those old fairy tales! I think I saw the Frog Prince at the Hollow this past week .. but I only saw an orange cat, no black cats. I bet they were out hunting mice for their dinner. Jane this it just fabulous! Your painting is awesome! I love how you did that old tree the owl is sitting on, and the cats have the most wonderful expressions on their faces! The witch is spectacular! I love how you've painted the broom, such wonderful details. I think I even see a ghost, just near the top of the broomstick where the mists are swirling .. but I zoomed in when I found her. Such a marvelous piece of art work!!

As can be seen in your great follow up to this image, it not a good idea to anger your cats! You'll find out just how little they are 'yours' after all. Beautiful image and great story! Wonderful atmosphere and light. I like the way you colored it with the characters standing out against the blue tones of the background. The tree on the left looks like it's snarling. Wonderful work!
