[best viewed full sized] Hello All! Another shot taken on the sheep farm a few weeks ago. Little Ellie has been hand reared by her farmer since she was orphaned a few days after her mother gave birth to her. Due to the high cost of milk feeding her she will not go to market like the rest of her young playmates (she would not fetch a high enough price as has already been paid out in feed) but instead she will remain on the farm and hopefully go on to breed next year. Postwork includes darkened background, correction of colours and slight boost of saturation as well as a touch of dodge and burn. A wonderful capture and this really does bring back memories for me as a child. Every year we had some to rear by hand and they were always great friends for years.
