My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wow, I really like this shot. Having the Star Trek reference adds spice to an already very neat B&W!!! Way to go tk:)

Ok, not being a Trekkie, I hve no clue what you're talking about, but that doesn't matter, since this is still a very cool shot!!

"Ah, Kirk...do you know the old Klingon proverb that tells us that revenge is a dish that is best served...cold? Well...it is very cold in space." Sorry, hand to channel Khan for a moment; it was less of a typographical challenge than channeling a Klingon. And now that I'm done with the Star Trek references, I'll go on and say that this photo rocks. I have yet to capture a photon torpedo, phaser shot, or even one of Uhura's legs...but oh well. I love the angle of this shot. The POV is exquisite, and after seeing J.J. Abrams' reboot of Star Trek (a frikkin' good reboot) I found myself wondering if you'd also photographed one of Mr. Abrams' ubiquitous lens-flare generators. This is super!

I assume the unfortunate pilot is Capt. John Christopher, but you're a far harsher Starship Captain...Jim Kirk only used a tractor beam and destroyed Christophers plane by accident...."Ok, cats out of the bag...I'm a 'Trekker'. You're right of course, it DOES look like a Photorp launch, and it looks very much like an F4-U Corsair...stunning picture, the mono fits perfectly and I love the highlights... ( Captain John Christopher, U.S Airforce, ser# 4857932...Played by Roger Perry, in the STTOS episode 'Tomorrow is Yesterday'...)

Very beautiful shot!

Superb capture. It does look as if the plane is being fired on. BTW - Have you ever had trouble with tribbles? I have been all over the world and brought back handicrafts for family and friends. The greatest reaction I ever received was when I came back from Florida and brought Star Trek insignia pins. I gave one to a friend a few months ago for his birthday and he is still showing it to anyone that comes to his house. Yeah, I'm a geek. Seen them all more than once. My fav for its humor is "I, Mudd".

Excellent in B/W and love that POV!

Now that's a novel idea, Tara! WW2 fighter planes with photon torpedoes.....hmmmmm..... I may have to explore that idea a bit! LOL! An excellent capture, Tara!
