I can imagine how this has gone from one ecosystem to another. The wildlife that will now enjoy these trees is so different from the ones that once depended on them. A very peaceful and entrancing shot.

This is incredible. It reminds me, in some ways, of passages I read (once upon a time) in an Ursula K. LeGuin novel: The Word for World is Forest...it was such a moving and evocative little novel and this image captures the mood of that perfectly (for me, at least) and I agree with you about the paleness of the naked, dead trees. They're like ghosts of themselves, markers of something that doesn't exist anymore. This is a wonderful shot and nicely moody.
