Description
This is a watercolor made from a place a few steps from the Little Bridge, I posted the other day. Tried to make it a bit more loose. Doesnt always work :)

Mostly I take shots and take a print to use as a source. That is because I have to walk away from it every so often. Cannot sit for very long, before it begins to hurt here and there, so I have to get up and move around. Age, you know :D

I love it when you get loose! :D It makes me sit here and shake my head in admiration. The boats and the buildings are nicely precise, but the rest is beautifully loose. That's a great combination ... manmade things DO have more precision and cleaner lines than nature does! Your ability to do both in one piece and make it all hang together is enviable. Lovely!

This is excellent! The title makes me think of a song I haven't heard, but would like to. Songs about rivers and bridges are overlooked, I think. I really like the open feeling this image has as well as the wonderful color. Everything seems so delicate and dream-like, but it is substantial and real also, not like a dream that will evaporate. This is really nice. And now I want to ride in that red boat!

Beautiful! I love the motion you get with a few strokes! Wonderful depth with the distant pastel trees. I can see the slight dip, beyond the two trees which then turns into a gently sloping hill. I love the variation of the trees and bushes, and the layering of the land. Beautiful water, the surface given a lovely sheen by the area of very lightly applied color. Lovely scene and painting!
