I have to echo the comments above...I remember that day well...the lighthouse, the river bank, watching the men surfcast. You've captured the mood of the day very well in this image of grass gently blowing in the wind:* Ahhhhhhhhh...

Wonderful macro with a great sense of movement. You ever notice that there is always one that just won't follow the crowd?

This is wonderful! You will be amazed when I describe what went through my mind when I saw the title in the ebot. We have a village/town near here called Sway. I thought 'what on earth has she found to take pics of there? Must be Sammy thingies Motorcycle museum! Oh no she lives on the other side of the world' all in the space of a nanosecond! Aren't our brains astonishing bits of kit?!

I loved this when I first saw it last night and this morning it's every bit as beautiful~~and for some reason makes me think of the girl from Ipanema!! Did you know that when Joao Gilberto died, thousands of people lined the streets and sang this song as his hearse passed thru the town? What a wonderful way to honor him!!

I, thought, just now, of Sherri S. Tepper's novel: Grass. I wondered if there were any critters nearby, called foxes but anything but foxes...I wondered if there were really miffed hippae around too, kicking dead bats and looking generally snarly and mean, as they do, since they're snarly and mean and have a habit of kicking dead bats around, even though the dead things are just as alien as the hippae and NOT bats at all. But then, that world faded and I just saw more local grass with water in the background, and then I wondered how you got it to stand still like that. Plants aren't supposed to move (at least not on Earth) and grass loves to be all non-plant-like and move just as you're about to get a shot of it. Needless to say, this is a gorgeous shot, captured under circumstances that probably involved a blur-inducing breeze, but you nabbed it and it is perfect. Really, really nice!

Simply soothing and very effective Tara - but not only that, think of all these little grass seeds - tiny birds will find very nourishing, and some seeds will always be 'gone with the wind' ... BB PS ~I would also like to thank you, for your kind Birthday greetings, via Andrea 'durleybeachbum' & Jacomina 'dochtersions'~
