My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.

Actually a pretty good looking plane. Very cool POV.

"Taken April 15, 2011" - did you put it on the roof of your vehicle, pull it behind, or fly it home? Surely Edwards AFB were not too happy?! Another great shot of outdated, but beautiful, technology.

I can't get awfully excited about planes, BUT this one has some nostagia value as it is not a jet!

Oooooo, can I borrow this for the weekend? :) This is one very nicely postworked airplane...didn't this begin life as three separate images? This is all that I like...sharp, crisp, clear with a great POV.

I love the angle of this aircraft, looks really cool and I love the write-up. Thanks Tara! You are slowly becoming an expert. I can just visualize you digging through reference material and consulting with your expert advisor, Bill. Thanks again Tara and more from me when Icome back!!

Ah yes! This is a beauty, from the early days, just after metal taught itself to fly. This is really super and I love the POV. It has that kind of "beauty shot" quality I've grown accustomed to from science fiction television, when you see the Galactica or the Enterprise or even the Serenity for the first time and you're marveling at how beautiful or ugly the ship in question happens to be, and then as you get that lovely beauty pass, with sweeping (or just odd) music, capturing the mood of the ship itself (the Serenity always had quirky country-tinged music, but what do you expect from a Firefly class cargo hauler with a nice dinette set in the galley? And you know, on the Serenity they had ex military, a real Companion...and all sorts of renegades. Heck, they even had themselves a preacher, but nobody really knew why.) Anyway, all rambling aside, this is a super shot and a fantastic dedication too. I'm more of a jet-plane, FTL-capable starship (or battlestar) kind of guy, but I can't ignore a good piece of piston-driven, flying stuff that goes "buzz" like a giant wasp whenever it's hauling itself from one place to another. This rocks and it's perfect as a dedication too!

Lovely shot of this old classic, Tara. It's as if she's looking at the sky, and thinking "I belong there.." It harkens back to a day when her radio had strange, glowing things called 'tubes' inside, and navigation was by the lay of the land, or position of the stars.

Great pov.
