Description

I was in Glen Rose Texas when i saw this. It was cloudy at the time but still it came out ok. I read from a pro that you have to learn to shot under all types of lighting. I believe him too

Quite a cool variety of insect and plant life you came up with here, Jock. And, I don't agree with Andrea. I like to take picture of flowers in the sunshine so I can capture the bright colors and the sharp contrast of light and shadow.

This is really super and it pays to zoom in to full view...there is so much to see. The flowers themselves are absolutely gorgeous and I love the colors: it seems to me that the colors resemble really delicious fruit. And of course I'd like the insects! So many different kinds (well, okay, maybe 3 kinds.) I had to laugh when I saw them as I thought: "WOW! Jocko took a picture of one of those hard-to-find nectar bars where all of the trendy bugs hang out!" This is great! I really like this a lot, and I agree with Andrea...sometimes it's better to photograph flowers on cloudy days because the colors do pop out differently. Sometimes the sunlight makes the colors too bright. You did a really good job with this shot here!
